There are about ten Housegroups for study and prayer with a total of around a hundred members. A Steering Group ensures that the housegroups receive good support and guidance, and maintains a ‘bank’ of study materials and resources. The groups have between 8 and 12 members and usually meet twice a month in term-time.
We regularly offer this informal course for people who’d like to investigate Christianity, or just brush up on the basics. It explores who Jesus was, what his aims were, and what it means to follow him.
You won’t be asked to pray, sing or read aloud, and you can ask any questions you like. Or, if you prefer, you can just come along and listen.
Christianity Explored has been around for over a decade now, and it’s been designed to suit different age ranges and people.
Please contact the Rector for details of the next course.
Ecumenical Lent Groups
During Lent “Churches Together in Bishop’s Waltham area” organises a 5 week study course for small groups. About three hundred people take part and it concludes with a united act of worship on Palm Sunday.
